Since we published our NKN 2024-2028 roadmap, we received overwhelming interest in what are the immediate outcome of those major initiatives. Now we would like to give our community a 2024 mid-term upodate.

For Q3 and Q4 in 2024, we are working towards the following deliverables:

1. Expand NKN into the Solana blockchain and ecosystem: support NKN tokens on the Solana blockchain; add NKN Universal Communication System support for Solana addresses; work with exchanges to add Solana support; enable multi-way token swaps.
2. Launch one of the initiatives in the NKNVerse: either HomeNet (residential IP service), or Satellite web3 services; the other will be launched early next year.
3. Introduce native staking rewards for NKN tokens through cross token staking in the NKNVerse.
4. Finalizing all platform level support for audio/video communication: complete verification and performance tuning of WebRTC support, so developers can use NKN SDK to easily develop both real-time two-way communication such as audio and video calls, as well as streaming service similar to Twitch and YouTube Live
5. Enhancing platform support for secure tunneling (TUNA), which is widely used in nConnect and other 3rd party applications for secure remote access. The key development area is wider SSL certificate support, multi-path optimization, packet loss reduction, and self healing/recovery capabilities.
